IWCS Draws Attention to Revised Schedule and Program Elements for 2024
Before making travel arrangements, attendees should make note of the revised schedule for this year’s event. Not only does the event start on Monday (which in recent years started on Sunday), but popular elements have been moved to day one of the program—from what historically have taken place on day two. This includes the Plenary Session Luncheon, Welcome Reception, and the first three technical sessions: (1) Codes and Standards (2) Design, Testing, and Applications for Copper Ethernet, PoE, and Energy Cables, and (3) Advancements in Microduct Technology. The core Professional Development Courses remain on day one (Monday), while the more advanced elective courses have been moved to day two (Tuesday).
The schedule was revised to allow more time to discuss important topics at the event. New this year, IWCS is hosting a full-day breakout program, “Navigating the Energy Transition: Smart Grid and Broadband Connectivity” plus an industry innovation session, “Advancements in Sustainability & Recycling”. Complementing the Technical Symposium content, these new event components dedicate time to important dialogue surrounding trends, challenges, and opportunities currently facing the industry. The new elements include several panel discussions with time for the audience to engage with panelists during a Q&A segment.
The improved schedule also results in more unconflicted time between the Technical Symposium and Supplier Exhibition. This means attendees will have more time to visit with our industry’s leading suppliers while having ample time to experience the technical content during the Symposium sessions. Also new, lunch concessions will be available in the exhibition hall to deliver a more convenient and productive event experience for visitors and exhibitors.
