As Director of Marketing for the Vinyl Division of Teknor Apex Company since 2014, Mike has been responsible for the overall management of strategic and market planning activities addressing the automotive, building and construction, consumer, healthcare, industrial and wire and cable industries served by the division.
He joined Teknor Apex in 2004 as Industry Manager – Wire & Cable after working for The Ruggles Group, a materials consultancy. Prior to that, he held various general, business and operations management positions at Madison Cable Corp., having started his career at Essex International in engineering and technical management.
Mike holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bombay, a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Mike is active in industry organizations, being on the Operating Committee of the Vinyl Institute, BoD of Flexible Vinyl Alliance as well as participating in IWCS, Green Chemistry Council, NEMA and NFPA. He is a member of UL STP 13 and 758; is the holder of a cable patent, has published articles in industry trade journals and participated in panel discussions at AMI, PLASTICS and IWCS conferences.
In 2023 the Vinyl Institute recognized Mike as Vinyl Institute Partner of the Year. The award was presented for advocating on behalf of the vinyl industry and contributing to outreach and education efforts.
In 2024 Mike was recognized by the Wire & Cable Manufacturers Alliance with its Annual Distinguished Career Award which recognizes individuals in wire and cable who served the industry for a minimum of 25 years and during that time demonstrated outstanding professional acumen along with personal attributes of an exceptional degree.
