Abstract: The energy transition and digital transformation are accelerating the demand for material and cable solutions in power and telecommunication networks. Driven by significant infrastructure investments and the global push for enhanced connectivity, the industry faces the dual challenge of meeting worldwide carbon reduction targets and achieving production efficiencies. Sustainable solutions, including mechanical recycling of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, renewable feedstock options, and advanced recycling present both opportunities and challenges. The entire cable and connectivity industry must collaborate to achieve these ambitious goals.
