Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in extrusion or molding equipment (preferred)
Must be proficient in programming and troubleshooting using AB Logic, 5000, Factory Talk, Siemens TIA and for newer PLC’s and S7 for older Siemens S7 and older PLC, HMI and Variable Frequency Drives
Experienced in machine/plant networks. Knowledge of basic architectures such as Client-Server. Experience with machine-to-machine communication and with Bus- and Ethernet-based communication protocols like Profibus, Device net, and ProfNet.
Experienced in OPC UA and machine connection Tools like KEPServerEx or OPC Router
Experience in machine to MES communication
Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
Knowledge of 480v Electrical Power Distribution Systems and extrusion and conversion processes
