Use this page to find all the resources needed to successfully prepare, submit, and present a Technical Paper at the IWCS 2021 Cable & Connectivity Industry Forum.

All speakers MUST register to present at IWCS 2021

Be sure to register early to get the discounted rate! One speaker per paper may access the special discounted registration. Note: speakers should use the “Speaker Registration” button below, not the public attendee registration links IWCS has shared separately.

Speaker Training

All speakers, moderators and PDC instructors should plan on attending one of the speaker training sessions prior to the 2021 Cable & Connectivity Industry Forum. During training you will be able to test your video, ask questions and walk through how to present on the IWCS Virtual Platform.  This session will be recorded and available to view on demand after the session.

Live 2021 Speaker Training Sessions will take place:

  • Tuesday, September 7 at 1:00 PM, Eastern USA
  • Thursday, September 9 at 10:00 AM, Eastern USA

New this year or have questions?

Come to Open Office Hours and speak to a live IWCS representative via video to answer any questions you may have. A link will be sent out to all speakers for Open Office Hours 30 minutes prior.

Preparing Your Technical Presentation

Please review the 2021 Speaker Information and Instructions and 2021 Speaker Guidelines and Overview Documents for information on presenting. All presentations must be in widescreen (16:9) format.

Technical and Audio/Visual Requirements

In advance of the speaker training, please install “Zoom Client for Meetings”. The IWCS 2021 Virtual Event Platform uses Zoom technology to power the live meeting functionality. You will not need to sign in or use any licenses, everything will be hosted through our Virtual Event Platform.

Commercial Guidelines & Copyright

Review the IWCS Guidelines for Commercial Content and complete the Copyright Agreement before preparing your Papers and Presentations. To be included in IWCS Technical Symposium proceedings, references to commercial product trademarks or tradenames must be kept to a minimum.

IWCS requires each lead author to complete the copyright agreement by September 1, 2021.

All Technical Papers are limited to 10 pages and must conform to the IWCS standards and formats outlined in the provided template. Papers that do not conform to these standards will be returned for corrections and/or alterations.
